Why I built Weeve Tales
I’m a dad of three kids in Orange County, California. During school breaks I kept watching the same scene: the iPads come out, and the day disappears into scrolling and games. I wasn’t looking for “no screens.” I was looking for better screen time — something that actually builds a skill instead of just burning hours.
That’s how Weeve Tales started. I wanted my kids to practice real English writing: pick an idea, write the sentences themselves, get a little help when they freeze, and finish with a storybook they made. AI never writes the story for them. The child does.
After they used it, I saw the change at home — more confidence writing, stronger reading and writing habits, and real literacy growth. That was the moment I decided other parents should have this too. Not another AI that ghosts the homework. A writing practice kids will actually open.
